SOMA SPECIALITIES PVT. LTD. was founded as Soma Corporation in 1992 by its founder & visionary Mr. Om P Sabu. After completing his Master’s in Industrial Engineering, he started his career in the cleaning industry in 1974 as a cleaning contractor. As the only single disc scrubbers for floor cleaning were highly expensive imported machines, he decided to try his hand at developing a machine indigenously for the Indian market. In the year 1990, in a small space at the back of his office, they started to work on what was to be the first & highest selling Indian single disc scrubber.
In the year 1992, they launched CYCLON FM-240 which soon became the benchmark in floor cleaning machines in India. Today, the company has gone from strength to strength with his son Mr. Samir Sabu also joining the business to look after marketing & strategic procurement. Our product range has doubled in the past 5 years with strategic tie-ups with many leading European manufacturers of cleaning machines which are being marketed by us across India.
